The Play it Forward Fund

In 2020, Copper Mountain Resort created the Play it Forward Fund to “provide funding in support of our community successfully navigating challenging times and continuing to thrive for generations to come.” The fund works in partnership with the Summit Foundation to raise money for local non-profits and help give back to the local mountain community.

Play it Forward Wednesdays

For its second year in a row, the Play it Forward Fund has rolled out Play it Forward Wednesdays. On 13 Wednesdays throughout the winter ski season they boast discounted single day lift tickets to Copper Mountain Resort where five dollars of every lift ticket purchased for that specific Wednesday is donated to a specific non-profit. Each Wednesday donations are given to a different local non-profit. In the two years this fund has occurred, they have raised over $137 ,000 for local organizations.

Summit County Safe Passages and Play it Forward

For the second year in a row, Summit County Safe Passages has been chosen to be a recipient of the fund. In 2020, SCSP raised a lot of money from the event, and in 2021 the event was an even larger success. SCSP was able to raise more than $10,000 from the program. The money raised will be used for the East Vail Pass wildlife corssings. This was one of our biggest funraising sources last year and we thank everyone who helped us make it an even bigger success this year!

A Big Thanks to All Who Supported

Thanks to all of those who purchased lift tickets at Copper Mountain and helped support this cause!
